So far my journey to New Zealand has been a great one! The country side is amazing and the people are great. One of todays many highlights was the discovery of some Kauri wood. I was able to obtain a small quantity of Kauri that has been unearth from the northern part of the North Island. It has been radio carbon dated to be more than 45,000 years old. Kauri wood as you know is now a protected species and can no longer be harvested. The only way to get this wood is to find buried timber and carefully dig it out. I will have a limited amount of pens available when I return to the States. Check back to see more discoveries from my trip, and to see when the pen are available.
